Yachtexpertise is managed by Mr. Theo van Rijswijk(34 years watersports- experience). I specialise in prepurchase surveys and valuations only. My reports are normally accepted by all banks and insurance companies.

Service is the most important for me. My service is marked by a very personal approach, combined with a survey, aimed at your wishes, accomplished within a short time period. If you join me during the survey, please be informed you will need the whole day(unless it is a big Yacht)! The written report (to HISWA Qualified Yacht Surveyor Spec) is normally sent by email the same evening! The neat hard copy is sent by mail. To stay up to date and ensure you are most confident with your surveyors choice, Mr. van Rijswijk is HISWA Qualified Yacht Surveyor, VBS surveyor (Verband der Sport- und Schiffbau-Sachverständigen), NAMS Surveyor (National Association of Marine Surveyors), VRT valuer and member of ABYC and NVEP

Pre-offer inspections can be extremely useful when you have limited time to look at Yachts. It entails an inspection of the Yacht you are interested in. It provides you with an overall idea of the condition of the Yacht and any other things you are interested in, in regard to the purchase of this Yacht. After the pre-offer inspection you should be able to determine whether it is worthwile to have a look at the Yacht yourself. Yachtexpertise will customize this inspection to your needs. If necessary we will use state of the art video, digital cameras and laptop internetaccess to get to you quickly what you need.

Yachtexpertise offers standard and customized Yachtsurveys. In a standard survey we will look at the major important features of the Yacht, without taking things apart. Yachtexpertise looks at all the major structure and systems, which can give expensive repairs. This includes hull, superstructure, steering, rigging, interior, engines, propulsion, electricity, plumbing. Then we make a seatrial. In a customised Yachtsurvey we might cover the basics, like hull and engine, or do "the works". If you don't know what you need, we are there to help!

The buyer is normally responsible for the hauling charges. The buyer or broker is responsible for setting up the survey arrangements with the seller, and ensuring the Yacht is made available for survey. We need permission to board the Yacht and Marina!

To ensure full integrity Yachtexpertise operates fully independant. By my personal involvement as a "Yachtie" in heart and spirit", I perform a thorough survey and obtain satisfied customers. The customer we serve, not the seller or broker.

Yachtexpertise offers normal rates. Our survey fee is approximately € 60,--/meter, depending on size, engines and equipment. Travel expenses are extra.
